Miscellaneous

I've been a little too busy to get around to the blogging.
Last week it was the Annual Conference session in St Cloud. On Thursday I came back to see Vivian I. in the last days of her life. I do have the need to say goodbye to people. The family had called me in time to have some conversation and prayer and enjoy her wit and humor one last time. A day later would have been too late. Her memorial service is Saturday.
Of course there have been a few graduation open houses to attend.
Now we have been having our Vacation Bible School week with an emphasis on serving others. We have over a hundred children plus another hundred volunteers helping in some way. Betty Jessen does a great minsitry with this! I supervise some of the recreation time and we count on being able to go across the street to Gregory park but the weather has moved us into the church garage a few times or we have spread out the new parachute into an open area in the sanctuary.

Sara is working as checkout clerk at Cub foods in Baxter and Nick just finished a two night performance in a one act play that was done at CLC.
He will start lifeguard training at the YMCA and hopes to get some life guard work.

The church mission/work trip to Rosebud is in mid August.
This Sunday the Rochester Area Girl's Choir will be singing in the worship services!

Oh..and the phone system at the church crashed over a week ago so new phone installation and wiring has also been underway.

The grass needs to be mowed and the mosquitoes use it like bait knowing that someone will have to mow it! Maybe I will get Nick to enter their trap!
Rambling on
